The Huntsman World Senior Games is pleased to announce the second annual International Festival, 4 until 7 p.m. on October 13, 2009. This year’s event promises to be even better than last year as we have fine-tuned the format. The International Festival will be a family-friendly / community event. The focus will be on cultural education. Local businesses will adopt a country and provide attendees with an educational experience focused on that country. Visitor to the booths should leave with a better understanding about the various cultures around the world.
“We hope the International Festival will become a focal point for the Games,” said Kyle M Case, Huntsman World Senior Games CEO. “Our mission has always been to foster worldwide peace, health and friendship, and we believe this event has the potential to do all three.”
Admission to the festival is free and will include entertainment and food, available for purchase, from around the world. Booths and the entertainment will be located on the cement mezzanine just west of the Burns Arena and south of the Cox Auditorium at Dixie State College. The festival will end just in time for the Concert and Celebration to begin in the Burns Arena.
The Huntsman World Senior Game is the world’s largest annual multi-sport event for athletes 50 and over. It takes place each October in St. George, Utah and offers 26 different sports.
