Every year around mid-June, the key volunteers of the Huntsman World Senior Games get in the groove for the upcoming event with a get-together.  They receive an update of where the preparation is and the direction the Games are going.

“It’s always a fun time when we get everyone together and go over what’s ahead,” said Kyle M Case, Games CEO.  “We have such a great group of people that help us put these Games on.”

This year, in addition to the valuable information they received, the staff had something special planned for those in attendance.

“We wanted to do something a little special for these key volunteers this year,” said Case.  “So we put together a little Blues number.”

The staff, in the spirit of the Blues Brothers, danced and sang to the delight of those in attendance.

”This was a fun way to start the year off,” said Bob Anderson, Volunteer Coordinator for the Game.

The Huntsman World Senior Games relies on the help of an army of over 2,000 volunteers who lend a hand to everything from transportation to refreshments.

“There’s no way we could do what we do without the help of these wonderful volunteers,” said Merrill Barney, Sports Director for the Games.  “We are really indebted to them for all the help they provide.”

The Huntsman World Senior Games is the world’s largest annual multi-sport event for athletes 50 and over.  The Games takes place each year in St. George, Utah, USA, and welcomes over 9,000 participants who engage in 27 different sports like Archery, Badminton and Cowboy Action Shooting.
